Serco Logistics Analyst SME in Rock Island, Illinois

Position Description

Looking for a Logistics Analyst SME opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Discover this great opportunity as part of the Global Logistics Augmentation and Staff Support (GLASS) team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, IL.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide Logistics Support Services in support of multiple program functions for ArmySustainment Command (ASC) Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL) and Shop Stock (SS) determination mission and supported areas with a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations.

  • Possess a comprehensiveknowledge of planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics activities such as: analyzing data, determining stockage recommendations, analyzing stockage performance, implementing corrective actions, tracking and monitoring internal and external processes.

  • Provide ASL/SS recommendations consisting of the production, analysis, and implementation of ASL/SS Data Packages as required to meet mission requirements In Accordance With (IAW) current policy.

  • Provide mitigating actions to address potential issues or roadblocks in the teams’ ASL/SS determination process.

  • Possess ability in Identifying areas of programmatic deficiency and in making recommendations for enhancements.

  • Work requires skill in preparingprocedures, information papers, briefings and reports.

  • Produce reports and analyses which logically state the issues and reach conclusions which are supported by the data and analysis.

  • Perform Non-ERP Analysis to assist the development of ASL/SS recommendation packages, from the ground up, and augmentations to an ASL/SS in the theater of operation to support mission requirements.

  • Provide support to taskswhich arrive on an as needed basis and based on the complexity of the analysis a suspense date is determined.

  • Complete the tasker analysis by the suspense date, by the requester’s instructions and provide results to the requestor for planning and or approval for implementation into GCSS-A or other location as directed.

  • Participate in Meetings/Workshops in order to provide contributions to ASL/SS functions.

  • Provide meeting minutes and after action reports for meetings and workshops attended.

  • Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures that consists of providing logistics support in support of the Internal and external Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) ensuring all objectives and strategies are met and updated per management direction.

  • Perform research and respond to Request for Information (RFI) from various agencies in various formats/media.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • US Citizenship

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • An active Secret Clearance

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience

  • Broadknowledge and utilization of Decision Support Tools: that consists of but not limited to decision support tools within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, Logistics Data Analytics Center (LDAC), ASC Redstone Arsenal Detachment (LAN), and/or other DoD logistics systems, Oracle, TOAD,Procedural Language/Structured Query Language(PL/SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), UNIX Operating System, Business Intelligence Suite of Tools or their replacements as determined necessary toperform the ASL/SS mission

  • Broadknowledge of Army, DoD, and other Agency organizational structure, logistics policy and processes

  • Functional knowledge of Army retail and wholesale logistics systems to include the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) and Army Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) along with their interface,or applicability to ASL/SS development and sustainment

  • To be knowledgeable of logistics database development and supply proceduresincluding developing and documenting functional processing logic, programming specifications, data relationships, and functional testing

  • Fluency in MicrosoftOffice Suite of Tools and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access

  • Functionalknowledge of analytical and evaluative methods required to support a wide range of customer requirements for Army tactical units and other organizations.
