Serco Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV Service Technician - (Ventura, CA) in Port Hueneme, California
Position Description
Are you an Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV Technician looking to make an impact every day? Serco is the place for you! Join our team supporting our Navy customer based out of Ventura, California.
Serco's mission is to design, procure, integrate, install, and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.
The primary goal of the ESS/IDS Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems in accordance with their operational requirements.
In this role, you will:
Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain various Alarm, Access Control, CCTV Systems,intrusion detection, emergency operation centers and regional dispatch centers.
Pull, identify and terminate various cables including, but not limited to, coaxial, cat5 and cat 6 cable.
Work independently without direct supervision and effectively communicate to management regarding the progress of service tickets.
Demonstrate ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders.
Be responsible for service in multiple areas or region based on location. Some travel over longer distances will be required as work warrants.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in the field
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years'
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
Ability to travel locally and long distance up to 50% of the time as needed
Ability to read an installation design plan and navigate through the installation process from initial steps to completion
Ability to follow industry standards in cable installation
Ability to install conduit when needed
Additional desired experience & skills:
Experience with Access Control, Alarm Systems, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance and associated hardware, software, systems and manufacturers including but not limited too:

Bosch
Axis
Pelco
CCTV
License Plate Readers
Card Readers
Access Control Logic
An active DoD Secret clearance

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $73,214 to $122,024; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
