Job Description Serco, Inc. is looking to fill a Part-Time Project Leader position for our Millington, TN location. The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.

The part-time Project Leader provides direction on projects from inception through completion and provides technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of project management to comply with the technical requirements of the contract for the customer.

Can make non-critical decisions effectively and take an active role in decision making in groups.

Can describe organizational culture and identify the organization's stated mission, vision, values and operating principles, key lines of business, and the names of key executives including their roles in the organization.

Can describe the general value chain of the company including the financial and accounting principles and practices that can affect projects and their stakeholders.

Deal with conflicts and versed in common conflict avoidance and resolution methods.

Demonstrate effective decision-making process including the various types of decision approaches in the project context.

Provides direction on projects from inception through completion and provides technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of project management to comply with the technical requirements of the contract for the customer.

Depict the basic concepts and techniques of oral communication, express concepts, feelings, and factual information by speaking clearly and understandably; using appropriate words, grammar, and mannerisms.

Work with scope management processes and interacting with other project management processes.

Special emphasis on the cost, time, risk and quality knowledge areas.

Key work with networking across the organization to enable collaborative action and can identify the basic characteristics of good working relationships and explain the need for maintaining positive working relationships with associates.

Will manage the contract staff and oversee the work and development of all deliverables/projects.

Performs a variety of tasks, leads and directs the work of contract personnel.

Required Skills Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited academic institution with a concentration in Program Management and 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.

This position supports a U.S. Government contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.

The position you are being considered for in on a U.S. Government contract Requires you to have a clearance or the rating of ‘eligible for Secret’. At this time we will not be able to take anyone without one or higher.

Position requires a minimum five years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Excellent business correspondence skills required; such as memos or e-mail and can describe good examples of business or technical writing.

Travel may be required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Similar accredited Project Management certifications may be substituted for the PMI PMP Certification.

Master’s Degree preferred.

Secret Clearance preferred.

Department Our services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
