Serco Supply Specialist (Space Fence) - Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Island in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

Serco supports the U.S. Space Force as a prime by providing 24x7 services to manage, maintain, and provide logistical and general support for the Space Fence system. Space Fence is a second-generation ground-based S-Band radar space surveillance system, strengthening U.S. space superiority through improved Space Domain Awareness (SDA).

This strong Supply Specialist will perform primary logistics and supply procurements, monitoring, tracking and inventories; perform contingency operator duties when SOC is unavailable.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform functions at the mission site and program level pertaining to the management, control, acquisition, storage, safeguarding, and issue of Government-furnished or contractor acquired supplies and equipment.

  • Plan and develop procedures, coordinate policy, and provide control to obtain required supplies, material and equipment. Provide control over inventory, expediting, receiving, storage, disposition, and property accountability.

  • Instruct and advise operations and maintenance personnel in all applicable areas concerning required material and property control and associated procedures.

  • Assure proper procedures are followed, including obtaining required company or customer approvals, before initiating contractor direct purchase.

  • Provide supply support for mission items; Maintain equipment accounts and supply point accountability at 100%.

  • Order materials through Government supply system, or through local purchase when authorized by the Government.

  • Establish and maintain Government supply system accounts.

  • Support other mission locations with ordering, Government coordination and inventory reconciliation.

  • Act as primary Due-in for Maintenance (DIFM) Monitor, Bench Stock Monitor, Equipment Custodian, Supply Point Monitor, Shelf-life Monitor, Precious Metals Recovery Program Monitor, Activity Supply Limited Inspector, Environmental Compliance Contact, and Records Custodian.

  • At the direction of the Standard Base Supply System, provide MICAP and PMCS support to other DoD units.

  • Manage the receipt, storage, inspection, and distribution of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) brought onto the mission site.

  • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and list of HAZMAT.

  • Coordinate with Site and Program Management in the preparation of documentation and reports concerning or involving supply actions or status.

  • Turn in property for disposal and demilitarization.

  • Maintain status and expenditure data for supply items.

  • Perform packing, crating, pickup and delivery of items; coordinate shipments.

  • Perform contingency radar operator duties and additional duties as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years' of experience

  • Working knowledge of US Government ILS-S system

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to complete and pass a physical exam as a contingency upon offer

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,704 to $101,895; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
