Job Description Serco is seeking applicants for providing Quality Assurance services for Submarine C5ISR installations in Hawaii. The Quality Assurance Specialist I performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of materials, materials in process, and finished products. This position must have sufficient expertise and knowledge to be able to resolve common QA issues in a timely manner and also be able to escalate issues that are beyond the scope of the local decision making process. This position completes a variety of tasks by following pre-established guidelines and has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. The QA Specialist I works under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job assignments may require working at client site where working conditions may vary.

Required Skills -Position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in area of specialty and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. -This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance -Applicant must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening. -This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens

-Applicants will need to demonstrate concise knowledge of NAVSEA Standard items and Technical Specification TS9090-310 as it pertains to submarine and shipboard C5ISR installations. - Applicants must have experience in maintaining Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and insuring that Test and Inspection Plans are properly executed. -Applicants must be able to read design drawings and associated technical documentation. -Some structural experience is necessary though not to the same depth as electrical prints. -Applicants must have submarine experience and be capable of transiting all portions of the ship and work safely in a shipyard environment. -Applicants must be willing to work more than 40 hours a week. -Travel may be required up to 25% of the time

Department Our services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
