Job Description Performing vehicle maintenance to regulatory and manufacturer standards.
Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components
Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs.
Road test/function check completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required.
Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary.
Moving vehicles safely between job and work area.
Communicating professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Entering work order data in fleet maintenance system
Actively participating in safety or educational training as required.
Continuous ASE re-certification to remain in job classification.

Required Skills Requires a High School diploma and 2-4 years This position requires a skill with working on Diesel engines. May require ASE Master Technician certifications. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Department The Transportation & Infrastructure business unit has four main business streams - surface transportation, aviation, fleet maintenance and infrastructure services, with over 1000 personnel providing these services in the federal, state and local markets. Our transportation surface and infrastructure business includes traffic control centers, intelligent system specification, deployment and maintenance, traveler information systems, back office capabilities, program management, congestion management and general operations. Our business with state and local governments include parking management systems and technicality upgrades and parking enforcement. In addition we provide fleet maintenance services to a number of public utilities and municipal authorities.
