The Logistics Analyst II supports all day-to-day 3PL activities for the Okinawa 3PL operation, tasked with the physical processing of all HAZMAT requirements assigned by the Site Manager and customer leads up to delivery of material to the end customer. Enhances product workflow by processing incoming HAZMAT deliveries, customer orders received and adhering to established logistics plans to support just-in-time delivery of HAZMAT that affect production and maintenance schedules of Okinawa customers. Follows standard operating procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. May move materials using hand or power truck, forklift, or other warehouse equipment. Familiar with standard HAZMAT concepts, practices, and procedures especially with the proper receiving, storage and handling of all HAZMAT items.

Will report to Okinawa 3PL Site Manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Position will support the full life-cycle of HAZMAT processing, from processing/breaking down of manufacturer/distributor deliveries of bulk quantities of HAZMAT, to the processing of HAZMAT orders down to the requested amounts from customer order submissions, to delivery of HAZMAT to end use customer lockers. Will also support the processing/pick-up of excess, expired and no-longer required HAZMAT from customer lockers back to the Hazardous Minimization Center (HMC). Will also be responsible for the physical management of all HAZMAT within the HMC, applying first-in/first-out issue methodology and the management/tracking of shelf-life and compatibility of all inventory.

Required Skills Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicated background investigation.

Ability to use hard copy and electronic means to control and manage all HAZMAT is required. Able to conduct accurate inventories and research of HM, ensure all HAZMAT is properly managed/tracked, along with ensuring proper inventory and issue processes are followed is required so that customers have the right quantity of HAZMAT on or before the required delivery date identified by the customer. Demonstrated knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) processes/procedures, warehousing, handling, and safety procedures, along with HM management software programs such as HMIRS and FedLog for inventory research is desired. Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment with varying working conditions.

Job assignment will require working at overseas client site, with minimal travel anticipated.

Technical training/experience in Navy Supply procedures and IT systems used in HM management processes including some or all of the following:

• HM Inventory Management

• Stock identification and inventory processes

• IT systems for HM: HMMS, HMIRS and FedLog

• HM Minimization Center Operations
